We are pleased to inform you that the 2025-26 competition for the Global Affairs Canada SEED program is open: Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED)

Eligibility:
- Applicants must be citizens of an ASEAN member state (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, or Vietnam).
- Must be enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in an eligible ASEAN country.
- Must be paying tuition fees to the institution at the time of application and for the duration of the exchange.
- For undergraduate students, a student exchange agreement with UVic must be in place at the time of application.
Value and Duration:
- The scholarship is valued at $10,200 CAD for both undergraduate and graduate students for one term (four months).
Important Dates (2025):
- February 24, 2025: Application deadline for UVic
- May/June: Final selection and communication of results
- August 1–October 1, 2025: Commencement of studies/research at UVic
- Scholarship funds will be disbursed upon arrival in Victoria.
Application Process:
- Complete the “Scholarship Application Form” (for undergraduate or graduate students).
- Gather supporting documents:
- Proof of citizenship
- Privacy Notice Statement
- Letter of intent (1 page)
- Letter of full-time enrolment from home institution (1 page)
- Letter of support from home institution (1 page)
- Graduate students: Letter of invitation from Canadian supervisor (1 page)
- Undergraduate students: Signed Student Exchange Agreement with partner institution
- Submit all documents (in separate files) by email to GREAT FEB UGM at outgoing.feb@ugm.ac.id.
- UVic will submit qualifying applications to the Government of Canada by the official deadline.
