Zhejiang University China would like to invite FEB UGM undergraduate or graduate students coming to ZIBS for the scholarship (waiver of tuition fee) to study Master of China Studies / Master of Communication Management in the academic year commencing in September 2022. The Scholarship is intended to assist a suitably qualified student with tuition fees (61,600 RMB for 2 years) payable to the University with a maximum program length of two years.
MCS Program Overview
We welcome applicants from any discipline. Through an interdisciplinary curriculum and in-depth field research in China’s contemporary economic, cultural, and societal context, students gain a unique perspective on the social and business environment of China. China studies at ZIBS is built on the premise that international students should be able to interact and communicate with the local community by learning to speak Mandarin Chinese while pursuing their studies in English. The length of the full-time program is 2 years.
MCM Program Overview
MCM is an interdisciplinary program committed to training leaders who combine global vision, intercultural competence and understanding of China to position themselves as globally-competitive China business experts. Through this program, students will develop Chinese language abilities, intercultural communication competence, research and analysis skills and practical experience in business and management. Graduates will be well-equipped to build successful careers in management, international business, and intercultural communication. The length of the full-time program is 2 years.
Covid-19 Measures
International students will be avaliable to attend campus as far as restrictions allow. Courses starting in 2021 are offered as both online and face to face teaching due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Requirements:
- FEB UGM last year undergraduate students or alumni
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health (Individual special cases will be reviewed separately)
- Candidates whose native language is not English must provide proof of English proficiency, such as TOEFL (90 or higher) or IELTS (6.5 or higher)
- Students holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an English-instructed institution are waived from taking the IELTS or TOEFL
- Chinese language proficiency is not required for the program at the moment
